SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!

We had the best time coming to Wilmington during the kids spring break! We decided to take a few days and go down to Wilmington with Jeff as he had some work he had to do while we were there. We took the kids to see the USS North Carolina Battleship and we went to the Aquarium and to Fort Fisher. We also stopped by the pier at Kure Beach while we were out that way. We have had a fun and relaxing few days and can't wait to come back to this campground. It is a KOA campground in Wilmington. Even though it was small, it was very nice and we enjoyed our relaxing stay. This has been such a great break for all of us! Below are some of the pictures we took while we were down here!

Our First Snow Day

We had a wonderful time outside this morning playing while the snow was coming down! We decided to go out while it was snowing and before it turned over to rain. The kids had a great time running around and thought it was cool! They got cold pretty quickly though and we all came in to have some hot chocolate and enjoy our snow day!

Christmas Day at the Coombs House

We had a wonderful Christmas Day! After the kids woke up and found what Santa had left them, the house was total chaos! They played with everything they got from everyone and loved it all. Emily spent most of the day downloading songs into her new ipod and Lauren loved painting and drawing with her new art studio. Michael stayed busy with his video games and Noah went from one car thing to the next, plus taking time out to play with his Ms. Pacman game. Jeff and I took the day to rest and enjoy the kids with Momma and Nathan. We had yummy steaks that Jeff grilled out and baked potatoes. Our day was just perfect from beginning to end. Jeff is looking forward to his Nascar Experience! Jean just hopes he won't crash and burn...he is waiting to get behind the wheel....we are all looking forward to seeing him race!!! We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! We love you!

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful time with family and friends at our Christmas Eve Party. We surely missed the Beck Family, who couldn't be here because of sickness. We hope they will be better soon! Jeff made his wonderful homemade Cream of Potato Soup and Country Ham Biscuits. We played games, laughed, visited, sang christmas carols and shared our testimonies of Jesus Christ, whose birth we celebrate! It was so good to be surrounded by people we love and who have shared so much of our lives. We are so grateful for the blessings that continue to come our way! We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! For everyone that shared this night with us...thank you! You made it so special! We are blessed to have good friends and a loving family! We love you all!

Christmas with Family

We have had a great week once Lauren got out of the hospital. The Lord just continues to bless us! Aunt Kim and her family came up on Thursday night and spent the night with Momma and we had a great time with them on Friday. Then we had a wonderful time with Daddy Tom and Dee Dee. They came up on Saturday and celebrated Christmas with us. We enjoyed spending time with them and enjoyed the gifts they bought us. We all loved everything and are grateful for the love they show us every time they come! We have such a great family and are looking forward with eager anticipation to our Christmas Eve Party and Christmas Day! Santa can't come fast enough around here! We will post more once we have our annual Christmas Eve party!

Our Family Christmas Picture

This is our picture this year for 2006! The kids all had their best grins on. It does look like they are choking Nero but I assure you he is fine and still loving all of them. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! We love you all!

We have added a new member to our family! We have inherited a beautiful black cat from the Wilford's! Lynn couldn't keep him in her new place and so we said we would take him! He is almost 6 months old, very playful and loves to be around people! We named him Nero...(actually Jeff named him...He says that means black in Italian and since he is a black cat...We thought the name fit)! He loves to be petted and he is getting used to all the kids attention they lavish on him. Mom likes him because he is low maintenance and he loves to snuggle! It's like having a real live stuffed animal...He's so soft! We are all happy with our new addition and hope to have him for a very long time!

Myrtle Beach Vacation - Last Day

Today we had rain, rain, and more rain! We tried to go out this morning and swim but it was so cool and windy that the water was freezing. Then the rain came and we ended up spending most of the day in the trailer...Mom and Dad didn't mind though...we got to rest...! Late this afternoon we went out for seafood with Grandma, Gramps, Uncle Floyd and Aunt Laurel! Afterwards we went to the Surfside Pier and it was so nice and cool. The kids played in the arcade at the pier and then they went and rode go carts! (I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures...)! Lauren and Emily drove a go cart by theirselves and Jeff and Michael got in one together. Lauren was a maniac out on the course, she didn't understand what a brake was...no one will want to be on the road when she gets her drivers license (hehehe)! The day ended much better than it started and we have had a great vacation! We are grateful that the Lord blessed us with good health and we were able to have such a wonderful time. We relaxed and got to visit with family we don't get to see very often so we had another memorable vacation! As you can see in the picture below...mom and dad are resting on our last day here! WE LOVE THE BEACH! It has been a fun 10 days!

Myrtle Beach Vacation - Thursday

We had a lot of fun today as you can see from all the pictures. Grandma, Gramps, and Aunt Kim and her family joined us on Thursday for a day of fun in the sun. Everyone loved the pool and the ocean and the waves were great. We all had fun splashing around in the water. We were going to go to the Pavilion on Thursday Night but we got thunder, lightening and rain instead. The kids were disappointed so we took them to an indoor minature golf place instead that turned out to be a lot of fun. You kept climbing up into these little grass huts to play and everyone loved it. We all had a good day from beginning to end; however, at the end we were all really tired. It was a fun day with family!
