Christmas Day at the Coombs House

We had a wonderful Christmas Day! After the kids woke up and found what Santa had left them, the house was total chaos! They played with everything they got from everyone and loved it all. Emily spent most of the day downloading songs into her new ipod and Lauren loved painting and drawing with her new art studio. Michael stayed busy with his video games and Noah went from one car thing to the next, plus taking time out to play with his Ms. Pacman game. Jeff and I took the day to rest and enjoy the kids with Momma and Nathan. We had yummy steaks that Jeff grilled out and baked potatoes. Our day was just perfect from beginning to end. Jeff is looking forward to his Nascar Experience! Jean just hopes he won't crash and burn...he is waiting to get behind the wheel....we are all looking forward to seeing him race!!! We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! We love you!

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful time with family and friends at our Christmas Eve Party. We surely missed the Beck Family, who couldn't be here because of sickness. We hope they will be better soon! Jeff made his wonderful homemade Cream of Potato Soup and Country Ham Biscuits. We played games, laughed, visited, sang christmas carols and shared our testimonies of Jesus Christ, whose birth we celebrate! It was so good to be surrounded by people we love and who have shared so much of our lives. We are so grateful for the blessings that continue to come our way! We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! For everyone that shared this night with us...thank you! You made it so special! We are blessed to have good friends and a loving family! We love you all!

Christmas with Family

We have had a great week once Lauren got out of the hospital. The Lord just continues to bless us! Aunt Kim and her family came up on Thursday night and spent the night with Momma and we had a great time with them on Friday. Then we had a wonderful time with Daddy Tom and Dee Dee. They came up on Saturday and celebrated Christmas with us. We enjoyed spending time with them and enjoyed the gifts they bought us. We all loved everything and are grateful for the love they show us every time they come! We have such a great family and are looking forward with eager anticipation to our Christmas Eve Party and Christmas Day! Santa can't come fast enough around here! We will post more once we have our annual Christmas Eve party!

Our Family Christmas Picture

This is our picture this year for 2006! The kids all had their best grins on. It does look like they are choking Nero but I assure you he is fine and still loving all of them. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! We love you all!

We have added a new member to our family! We have inherited a beautiful black cat from the Wilford's! Lynn couldn't keep him in her new place and so we said we would take him! He is almost 6 months old, very playful and loves to be around people! We named him Nero...(actually Jeff named him...He says that means black in Italian and since he is a black cat...We thought the name fit)! He loves to be petted and he is getting used to all the kids attention they lavish on him. Mom likes him because he is low maintenance and he loves to snuggle! It's like having a real live stuffed animal...He's so soft! We are all happy with our new addition and hope to have him for a very long time!

Myrtle Beach Vacation - Last Day

Today we had rain, rain, and more rain! We tried to go out this morning and swim but it was so cool and windy that the water was freezing. Then the rain came and we ended up spending most of the day in the trailer...Mom and Dad didn't mind though...we got to rest...! Late this afternoon we went out for seafood with Grandma, Gramps, Uncle Floyd and Aunt Laurel! Afterwards we went to the Surfside Pier and it was so nice and cool. The kids played in the arcade at the pier and then they went and rode go carts! (I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures...)! Lauren and Emily drove a go cart by theirselves and Jeff and Michael got in one together. Lauren was a maniac out on the course, she didn't understand what a brake was...no one will want to be on the road when she gets her drivers license (hehehe)! The day ended much better than it started and we have had a great vacation! We are grateful that the Lord blessed us with good health and we were able to have such a wonderful time. We relaxed and got to visit with family we don't get to see very often so we had another memorable vacation! As you can see in the picture below...mom and dad are resting on our last day here! WE LOVE THE BEACH! It has been a fun 10 days!

Myrtle Beach Vacation - Thursday

We had a lot of fun today as you can see from all the pictures. Grandma, Gramps, and Aunt Kim and her family joined us on Thursday for a day of fun in the sun. Everyone loved the pool and the ocean and the waves were great. We all had fun splashing around in the water. We were going to go to the Pavilion on Thursday Night but we got thunder, lightening and rain instead. The kids were disappointed so we took them to an indoor minature golf place instead that turned out to be a lot of fun. You kept climbing up into these little grass huts to play and everyone loved it. We all had a good day from beginning to end; however, at the end we were all really tired. It was a fun day with family!

Myrtle Beach Vacation - Tuesday

Today we had a great time in the water. The weather was wonderful and not too terribly hot. We got Jeff to come with us again to the water and he had a good time in spite of himself. He even came down and stood in the ocean when he saw what a good time Noah was having. We have had a great day although we are all somewhat sunburned today because it has been cloudy outside. The wind is blowing like crazy outside and we love sitting out in the evening and talking with other campers passing by. We are looking forward to Grandma and Gramps coming on Wednesday as well as Aunt Kim and her family on Thursday! We are grateful to be having such good weather and a great time with our family! The kids are continuing to have a good time!

Here are the kids in the ocean having a ball!

Myrtle Beach Vacation - Monday

Here are some photos of our Monday here at the beach! We went to the ocean this morning and enjoyed the waves...Jeff went but under protest...he doesn't like the heat or the sand but he endured so the rest of us could have fun. Noah stayed close to his dad at the beach and enjoyed playing in the sand. The older kids and mom enjoyed the water. We also went to the pool and played there. Lauren and Michael decided to try out the giant hippo slide. Lauren loved it but Michael was a little intimidated by it...he came down anyway though. He said and I quote, "That was awesome but I never want to do it again!" I guess once was enough for him. Later in the day, Daddy Tom and DeeDee came and brought dinner with them...homemade fried chicken, fresh corn on the cob, homemade peach ice cream, watermelon and a bag of frenchfries that we fried up! We ate it all up and it was outstanding! The weather was perfect with a great breeze blowing off the ocean...made it great for sitting outdoors. We took the kids to the arcade where they played games and we racked up 439 tickets to cash in later in the week. We are having such a great time and really enjoying the time we are here. We love to ride around the campground in the golfcart (Noah's favorite activity) and check out everyone else's campsites. We have met lots of nice people and are making ourselves right at home. We'll write more when Gramps and Grandma join us on Wednesday night! Thanks for sharing our vacation with us, Daddy Tom and DeeDee. The company and food have been great. We love you! Uncle Floyd and Aunt Laurel join us in the fun and we look forward to seeing them later on as well as Aunt Kim and her family! More fun to be had!

Myrtle Beach Vacation - Day 1

We came in on Friday and set up camp. Saturday was our first full day here and we had fun swimming at the pools and the kids loved the ocean. Even Noah got in on the act..he loved the waves and would giggle everytime one would wash up. He and mom stayed closer to the shore and played in the sand. Daddy Tom and DeeDee came to spend the day with us along with Uncle Floyd and Aunt Laurel! We had a great day visiting and playing in the water. At the end of the day, we had a night out at the Cracker Barrel (Mikey's favorite place to eat) and came home ready to relax. We all love the beach and will be here for another 8 days...yeah! We'll keep adding posts every day or so to keep everyone updated on our vacation!

Michael's Baptism

We had a great time at Michael's baptism. It was a wonderful day and Michael loved it all. We had a big crowd at the baptism, so many that there was standing room only in the RS Room. It meant a lot to our family to have so many friends and family come to share Michael's day. Will and Lauren both spoke at the baptism and of course Mom was moved to tears by the beautiful comments that were made. Will is going to be such a fabulous missionary! Jeff gave Michael a beautiful blessing during the confirmation and everyone could feel of Michael's happy spirit! After the baptism, we had a cook-out at our house and we had the best time! Michael and his friends all played video games and the little ones all played with the toys. We all ate hotdogs and enjoyed each others company. It was a fun day! Thanks to everyone who came and made Michael's baptism day such a special one! We are grateful to you all for your love and friendship! Our lives are blessed because of so many wonderful family and friends! We love you!
