It's Summer and that means....

Time for mowing the grass every other day it seems like and working in the garden to keep all the weeds at bay! Noah loves to ride on the lawnmower with his dad and Jeff never can cut the grass without taking his sidekick along for the ride! Noah loves grass cutting time but I'm not sure I can say the same about Jeff....! The garden is coming along and we are getting fresh veggies out of it daily...now if we can only keep it weeded without having to do it ourselves...that would be perfect...! Happy Summer everyone!

School's Out....finally!

Well, it has been a while since I posted anything so I thought I would update a little on what our family has been doing! We have been busy with end of year things and getting ready for our new venture next year which will be homeschooling! We have been thinking about doing this for several years and after much research, prayer, fasting and pondering we made a decision to homeschool all of our children. We are excited about our new adventure as are the kids and we have already picked out curriculum, electives and are in the process of planning different field trips. We are joining a homeschool association and are looking forward to being able to take things at our own pace. It will be a learning experience for us all! Emily is getting excited about taking Drivers ED starting next week! She is ready to get her permit already...we keep reminding her that she has to finish her class, her driving instruction and then wait for her birthday in November. She is already driving her dad crazy about what kind of car she wants one day...he has informed her of course that our lawn mower costs more than her first car will...hehehe! She doesn't see any humor in that...oh well! Life with a teenager is proving to be a maze of emotions! Lauren is following right in her footsteps! Michael is always just happy and takes life as it comes. Noah is going to occupational therapy twice a week and he is making slow and steady progress. We are glad that we found Development Therapy Associates and love Noah's therapist. She works very well with him and we are learning a lot about how to deal with his delays and how best to help him. He always give us hugs and kisses and never wants to be more than two feet from his dad when he is home. Between work and Jeff's church calling, he treasures the time that his dad is home. Well, that about catches us up for now...will post pictures when I have some time to take them...we will be doing spring cleaning (and I remind the kids that this means clearing out, not just putting up...hehehe) after school is out. They are not thrilled with that (esp. Lauren because she is a packrat...hmmm wonder where she gets that trait from..hehehe)but they know that it has to be done. I like organization and they like it when Mom is happy! We are all doing well at the present and for that we are always grateful!
